WAEC Result Checker USSD Code *711*1000# and SHS Placement Cards not from WAEC – GES



The management of the Ghana Education Service has cautioned the general public,most especially,the 2018 WASSCE Candidates on the emergence of a result checker purported to have come from the office of the West African Examination Council with a USSD Code *711*1000# as not from WAEC nor the GES.

The Ghana Education Service made this disclaimer to a supposed result checker which is being sold to the general public and believed to have come from WAEC in a statement signed by the head of Public Relations Unit of the GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, dated July 15,2018.

The Ghana Education Service has also indicated that an SHS PLACEMENT CARD is also being sold and purported to have come from WAEC, which it’s outfit declared as false.

According to the Education Service, it’s attention has been drawn to an advertisement circulating on Social media ,requesting Candidates to dial a USSD Code *711*1000# to purchase WAEC Result Checker and SHS Placement Cards .

The Education Service further emphasized that neither WAEC, MoE nor the Free SHS secretariat has authorized such advertisement.

The GES warned the public to be careful with such people in the society who sell such cards for their own parochial interests.

The GES concluded that should in case it’s outfit come out with such document for sale, the general public will be duely informed through the media and their official website.

WAEC Threatens To Cancel Entire Results Of Candidates Caught With Mobile Phones

West    African    Examination Council    (WAEC) has said any candidate that  comes into the examination hall with mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets will    have his or her entire results cancelled, as it begins  registration for second series of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)  for private candidates. This was contained in a statement signed by the Council Head of National Office, Olu Adenipekun. He said, “Candidates who engage in examination malpractice will not only have their results cancelled, but may be prosecuted”.
