What to do if you can’t see your 2018 WASSCE results
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of school candidates who sat for the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination but not everyone has their result released.
If you are victim, you can become extremely anxious as you don’t know your fate especially in terms of progressing to the tertiary level.
If you didn’t get your result despite the announcement that it has been released, there is a high possibility that your result has been withheld because of suspicions of examination malpractice.
WAEC’s system is such that, it is able to highlight persons who seem to have been engaged in examination malpractice.
While the system could be wrong, and I know you may argue with yourself that you didn’t do anything wrong, it has been used for years and proven to be fairly accurate.
A total of 26,434 candidates got their results canceled over suspicion of examination malpractice.
Your result may be included hence your inability to check your result online.
While this may be very challenging, you may have to take it easy and give it some time.
WAEC takes time to investigate all cases of suspected malpractice before it makes a final determination whether it is indeed true or otherwise.
Those who are found not guilty, have their results released.
Those who are guilty have their results completely canceled.
The unfortunate part of this is that, no one knows when WAEC commences its investigation, how long it takes and when it completes it so WAEC gets to do it all, using its own timing.
You may only have to wait and perhaps check up at their offices.
