STATEMENT FROM HNO OF WAEC S/L*

The Head of National Office (HNO) confirmed to us that over 44,000 results of the just released WASSCE results were
withheld and is on investigated because of the followings:
1) Identified over 2000/six cartons colored photo copied answer booklets that examiners marking the papers gave to
pupils to redo their exams via the help of their marking scheme.
2) Two different answer booklets with the same name and index number but with two different handwritings.
3) Huge number of students with the same answers and same mistakes.
4) Using Mathematical answer booklets to answer English questions
5) Using their phones in exams center to spy
6) Students caught with papers that have answers to the questions.
7) No appearance: seats were empty and mark absent by supervisors but answer booklet were submitted for said
seats/students.
8) Invigilators conniving with students to spy for money because principal fail to sent senior teachers with proven
attitudes but sent volunteer teachers/government unemployed teachers from their schools.
9) Examiners with no good virtues allowing students to rewrite their exams at their homes..
10) Answering your questions outside the margins where u should not write after scratching the real work they have
done on the correct area of the answer booklets.
11) Abusing the invigilators/supervisors etc�
Investigation are underway to release those results...But If you fall on any one of the following above....your results will not be release..

WAEC Threatens To Cancel Entire Results Of Candidates Caught With Mobile Phones

West    African    Examination Council    (WAEC) has said any candidate that  comes into the examination hall with mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets will    have his or her entire results cancelled, as it begins  registration for second series of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)  for private candidates. This was contained in a statement signed by the Council Head of National Office, Olu Adenipekun. He said, “Candidates who engage in examination malpractice will not only have their results cancelled, but may be prosecuted”. However, the HNO opined that Candidates who wish to register for the examination after the close of entries may be accommodated as “ Walk-in-Candidates ” provided they register not less than twenty four hours to the scheduled time of the paper (s) they intend to write, saying their fee is 25,000.
