WAEC GHANA 2018 CSSPS RESULTS: Check SHS Placement – www.cssps.gov.gh

The Ministry of Education (Ghana Education Service) has released the 2018 School Selection and Placement results for the 2018/2019 academic year, to place qualified Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)candidates into Senior High School (SHS), Technical Institutes (TI) and Vocational Institutes.

Candidates can now print their placement forms and send them to their respective schools.

HOW TO CHECK CSSPS RESULT 2018/2019

1) ONLINE:

  • Purchase the designated Scratch Card from accredited dealers: banks, post office, GES offices, etc.
  • Get internet connected device.Visit the CSSPS Result Checker Online Portal: http://cssps.gov.gh.
  • Enter your 10-digits BECE index number, and the last two digits of the year of examination. Example: 213456078918 for a candidate who completed in 2018, with 2134560789 as index number.
  • Enter the Serial Number found on the top of your Scratch Card.Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch Card.Finally, Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up.

2) MOBILE TEXT (SMS):

  • Open the messaging section of your device.
  • Go to Create New Message.
  • Type and send your 10-DIGIT BECE Index Number to short code 1060 using any network (text charges apply).
  • Wait for a text back CONFIRMATION. 


The produre is almost the same as the online check. For instance, if your index number is 2134560789 and you wrote the exam in 2018, text 213456078918 to short code 1060 (on all networks).

NOTE: Do not leave space  between the digits.

Also, since it's a technical procedure you need to be patient and give the system time to process your request.

WAEC Threatens To Cancel Entire Results Of Candidates Caught With Mobile Phones

West    African    Examination Council    (WAEC) has said any candidate that  comes into the examination hall with mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets will    have his or her entire results cancelled, as it begins  registration for second series of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)  for private candidates. This was contained in a statement signed by the Council Head of National Office, Olu Adenipekun. He said, “Candidates who engage in examination malpractice will not only have their results cancelled, but may be prosecuted”. However, the HNO opined that Candidates who wish to register for the examination after the close of entries may be accommodated as “ Walk-in-Candidates ” provided they register not less than twenty four hours to the scheduled time of the paper (s) they intend to write, saying their fee is 25,000.
